A hot-blooded horse of remarkable character.  

Originating in the steppes of Turkmenistan, the breed is one of stunning uniqueness.  Originally used by nomads as war mounts, the Akhal Teke’s loyalty, deftness of manner and heart are all characteristics prized by today’s sports aficionados.  Because of its antiquity and due to its influence on some of the most recognized contemporary breeds, it is said that the Akhal Teke, “possesses the last drop of that valuable blood from which all 

breeds of well-bred horses have been developed.”
